Miami Ink

Some of you might have known about my fascination with tattoos. Needless to say, this is one of my fave shows on Channel 16. For someone who can't draw for nuts, it just amazes me what ppl can do with skin for canvas.

So, I was gushing at a cool tribal tattoo on a passerby from my bus seat when my colleague next to me solemnly commented, "Eh, there's a verse in the Bible that mentions that you shouldn't tattoo yourself. Wait, let me find it." Whips out Bible, flip flip flip, then "NAH! For you:"

"You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord." Leviticus 19:28 - NKJV

All that being said, the only reason I'd get one is when I have a memory to capture in a work of art that I am prepared to carry around on me permanently.
Of which, I have yet to find or mentally prepare myself for (not since SanFranHam told me about his fren hating her crucifix, merely weeks after it was freshly imprinted on her).
Besides, I've pretty much gotten used to keeping those moments embedded in my heart

Poor guy was weeping silently as Kat was tattooing him... Whatever pain he is feeling on his arm is probably nothing compared to that in his heart...
