After the phonecall last night, I was staring at the scribble of names in front of me. Silently pondering at each individual, I started a L.H. list

Sketched columns with headings beside the column of names – Needs, Love language(s), Make a Difference, Impt Info.

Filling in this list is going to take some time. But the one that got my attention is the 3rd column. I’m tired of being stuck at “Ok so we’ve tried this and that. Don’t seem to help. What now?”

Then I heard God tell me where He has placed a burden, He will also provide the means to ease and eventually erase that burden. But am I willing to step out & do it when He has placed me at the right place and right time? Will I go the extra mile?

At the end of the day, do I love Him enough to feed His sheep?

Guess we'll know from tomorrow onwards.... XP

Happiness.

Can't post this as it's disabled by request (whatever that means O_o)

Love this song to bits! Now I just need to figure out the chords... Should be quite easy... I think XP

Corrinne May - Mr Beasley
You don't have to drive a fancy car
Don't have to quote me Shakespeare
Just to woo me
Yeah I see your nervous laughter when you're trying to crack some joke
Well, you don't fool me
I'd like to see your eyes through those goggles that you're wearing
Don't try to hide away

Just be yourself, Mr. Beasley
I don't need your show of attitude
Coz' it's your soul that makes me fall in love with you
You don't know this but I see you in the church when you are praying,
You just move me
And my friend Sue she tells me you've been teaching kids for free
Mr. Philanthropy
I'd like to see your eyes through those goggles that you're wearing
Don't try to hide away

Just be yourself, Mr. Beasley
I don't need your show of attitude
Coz' it's your soul that makes me fall in love with you
Be yourself, Mr. Beasley
I don't need your show of attitude
Coz' it's your soul that makes me fall in love with you

For reasons inconvenient to disclose now, another post will follow very soon. Like, REAL soon. For those who know, sssshhhh……
Bibimbap & Cheesecakes!
Monday, October 15, 2007 9:48 pm
The last time I met up with the JC girls, we were talking about meeting to bake cheeseakes, between mouthfuls of Peranakan fare at Blue Ginger. Considering that it's really been a while since we've had a gathering, I reckoned it should be fun.

And it is =)

Liying's BiBimBap!!!

Sliced shittake mushrooms, carrots, cucumbers, beansprouts, marinated chicken thigh meat, sunny-side-ups, all stir-fried in fragrant sesame oil and topped on steaming white rice... DeeEEEeeeLISH!!!

Mixing it all up with that gorgeous Korean chilli paste

and throw in 1 kg of kimchi kimchi KIMCHI!!!

Why I cut the kimchi? So I can take sneek bites =P

Looks good rite? Well, the cabbage kimchi is like waaaay nicer, with each leafy slice totally permeated with vinegar, chilli, salt, sugar, the works.

This radish kimchi has that funky radish smell none of us took a liking to. And the thick stems aint that well marinated too...

So now we're stuck with 900gm of funky-smelling, not-that-spicy kimchi... sheesh

Fumbling with the mixer

Come la, let Auntie show you

Lilian: Are you helping me hold the bowl or protecting yourself from splatters?
Baoyuan: BOTH!
*Auntie still looking on apprehensively

Bao: She just wants the bowl to herself =_=

Jade's turn

My turn!

Stirring in the smashed oreo bits before dumping into the oven

Zi Lian while waiting for Oreo Cheesecake

Lilian: "This picture can be described in 2 words."

Me: "Eager anticipation?"

Lilian: "No. Yao Gui (greedy ghost)"

Me: =_=

After an agonising wait of 45 minutes...

Our baby is done!

"Liying, why are you cutting so slowly?"

Just look at that...

(PS: Liying don't want any so we split & took home a quarter each!)

Lazing around while waiting for New York Cheesecake

It just doesn't get any better than this.

Had to leave for the CBLC bdae dinner @ Harbourfront (which explains why I'm the only one with makeup on. I'm not THAT hiao, ok.) at this point so no pics of cake cutting =P

I'm sooooo gonna get an oven in my new home.
FaceBook
Wednesday, October 03, 2007 8:22 am
Ok admittedly, I still haven catch onto FaceBook, the sheep-throwing, vampire biting networking site. Even forgot I already created an account in July/August la.

Dear friends, gimme a little some more time to poke around (pun not intended) the site & u'll hear from me ok?

And initially, I thought these are just part of FaceBook's library of graffiti which they just click-to-select then click-to-send... WRONG lor! One look at Hazel's authentic artwork you know it's self-created okay, mai siao siao *amazed by everyone's creativity*.

Artwork by AhLi. I totally know what you mean, girl.

Lickable sundae from Mavis =)

Eva practising her Chinese calligraphy. Love that retro design =)

By Eva again! What can I say, she luuurves the mooncake festival =D

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! From Hazel!

No dear, you don't have hamburger ears =P

Thanks for making me smile everyone =) *muackz!

Koped this from PseudoDarling's blog. Oh what sweet memories.

This was exactly what happened between Jade & the co. and perhaps the effect dominoed over to the new CME who's still creating significant hair loss among my ex-bosses.

After all the meticulous handover (incl the creation of not one but FIVE 20-page long protocols & work flowcharts) and repeated training and hand-holding, somehow, it's no surprise the prevalent question -"what were you thinking?"- hangs around to this date, unanswered.

Don't get how they work in M'sia sometimes.

At first glance, I thought it read: YOU are so much BIGGER than the life I am leading.
And You really are... thank you...
