Blood Donation Drive, 29th OctAll 5 of us boarded frm our respective train stations & proceeded to the CC outside church.
Actually, come to think of it, we didnt wait long cos they were ending registration. Unfortunately, I had to miss guitar =( but it's for a GOOD CAUSE!!!
Stage 2: The Waiting Room We're easily the NOISIEST donors there -_-
(Btw,
free Nike bands for all donors. There're
red,
white,
blue & black =)
After registration, we're called to see the doctors. Both Jesmon & I have
low blood pressure so the docs told us to drink
a bottle of water each prior to donating. Next, the
iron content check. Everyone "guo guan" & it's back to the waiting room b4 they call our nos... gulp...
Just check out our
brave smiles:
Shujuan, CameraWoman for the day, has veins that're smaller than the needle so she cant donate. Doc recommended
weight-lifting to strengthen & make them more prominent.

A gleeful
Ah Guan being prep for the giant needle.
Joanna endorsing the blood donation pamphlet, awaiting her turn.
Jesmon happily oblivious to the man fainting/had fainted beside him.
He felt a little dizzy after the whole process & had to be tended to by
Mr FunnyDoctor.
The nurse very nicely chose a
blue bandage "to match his blue clothes mah" but we pleaded with her for a
bright pink one to match ours haha! Yes, Auntie, we know ur colour coordination
very zai =P

Can u see my
lil bag of blood by the
yellow bin... coooool...
The only thing that hurted was when they administered an
anaestatic through a tiny needle. I didnt dare to look @ the giant needle piercing my skin aft that but it didnt hurt a bit.
5 mins & it's over for me. (then again, I
kan-cheonged & repeatedly
squeezed the life outta the blue stress-ball while others
relac-one-korner...)
Showing It Off :
The Bloody Warriors & Their Pink BandagesFinal Verdict: It Feels Great!I have to say, the
feel-good factor is @ an all-time high that day =)
4 days later & it's still zinging in my veins =)
I think I'll be a regular donor.
