It's already my 10th day @
ST Life! as
temp admin ass asst & I cant believe this entry isnt up yet. Too busy lah... after work, I'd usually zip down to fellowship & last week, we had our
Emerge conference *it's totally empowering man... missing the atmosphere =(* Also, dinners w frens & family... What can I say,
it's great to be busy =)
Really must
thank the Lord for this financial blessing man... Jade called saying they need someone urgently in the editorial department & in less than 12 hours, I start work liao. 1st day only & I've been given training for
Coyote_3 &
Lotus... I can see the urgency liao.
Currently, I'm happily keeping my calves *
I'm wearing heels everyday duh* toned everyday. And why they cant just settle with 2 printers
side by side, together with the fax machine & the stationary cabinet, is lost on me. I guess it's their perverse
pleasure to make ppl stomp on the
horrid carpeting *I feel like a
blerdy fat rhino everytime I had to walk past this
gorgeously yummylicious intern with the creaky spot beside his desk*
Then again, I'll always
look busy to Sumiko & her secretary, PatHee,... So I guess it's good? =P
As of date, I'm in-charge of
- Filing photocopied faxes & passing the originals to respective staff members
- Photocopying layouts *they call them dummies... the layouts I mean, not the errand-girl... I hope lah!* of Life! & Urban to all 15 editors... instantaneously
- Printing & filing emails (Gawd... THE EMAILS!!! ARGGGH!!!) from the STLife inbox
- Keeping the place neat & tidy
- Printing & updating the weekly & daily TV listings for channel8, 5 & U, suria, central & cna.
- Settling Urban & other Life! contests
- Manning the phone-lines... with a smile in my voice *cant let them know how chao-bin I am rite =p*
- Clearing ours & KohBoonPin's in-trays *apparently, he has his periods more often than us gurls in the office, groan...*
...... & something tells me there's more work on the way... BRING IT ON!!!
By my 4th day, I've already used up more paper fulfilling my job scope mentioned above than I did in 3 years of NUS. To top it off, I was informed that after 3 mths, everything filed is going to the karang-guni... They sure love their trees man...
It also turned out that my fellow colleague, Laiping, is also a CityHarvester! WOOHOO!!! That meant I was able to share a cab w her for all evening svcs for Emerge Conference =D PRAISE THE LORD!!! & there's a pool/billard room in the bldg too!!! WEEEeee!!!
10 days & counting... Only God knows if I'm extending my contract after the 15th of July.
Thou shalt end off with a pic of my dearest sisters in Christ =)
